Testing and Optimization of drying technologies

Next to extraction and separation, Bodec is specialized in drying technologies to transform liquid or semi-liquid streams into stable, high-quality powders or concentrated ingredients. Our expertise includes evaporation, spray drying, drum drying, and agitated thin-film drying.

Drying Technologies for Food Ingredients

At Bodec, we provide advanced drying technologies to transform liquid or semi-liquid streams from extraction and separation processes into stable, high-quality food ingredients. Our expertise includes spray drying, drum drying, and agitated thin-film drying, allowing us to select the optimal method based on product characteristics, thermal sensitivity, and desired final properties.

Our pilot-scale drying facilities enable hands-on testing and optimization before industrial scale-up, ensuring reproducible, efficient, and scalable solutions. By carefully controlling temperature, feed rate, and drying conditions, we produce powders, flakes, or concentrated ingredients while preserving nutritional value, functionality, and solubility.

Whether your goal is ingredient innovation, side-stream valorization, or production efficiency, Bodec delivers high-quality, functional, and sustainable food ingredients ready for further processing or application.

Pilot-Scale Development for Scalable Solutions

Bodec’s pilot-scale drying plant provides hands-on testing to determine optimal drying parameters for your specific material. We generate real product samples, monitor process performance, and collect data required for industrial scale-up.

Whether your goal is ingredient innovation, side-stream valorization, or production efficiency, our drying technologies deliver reproducible, high-quality results while supporting sustainable and scalable food ingredient manufacturing.

Drying of food ingredients

  • Pilot-scale testing for scalable solutions

  • Drying technologies for different materials

  • Optimize drying processes

Not immediately. We always run a pilot test first to see how your product behaves on our equipment. This step is essential to ensure process stability, efficiency and reliable production performance.
No. To remain fully independent, Bodec does not develop its own ingredients. All intellectual property and product ownership always stay with the client.
Absolutely. While many of our clients are based in Europe due to logistics and raw material handling, we also work with companies from outside Europe. Feel free to contact us with your request.
