At Bodec, our multi-purpose reactor tanks provide the flexibility needed to handle a wide variety of food processing operations. These tanks are designed for dissolving raw materials, mixing, high-shear blending, heating, cooling, enzymatic hydrolysis, and pH-driven hydrolysis, all under controlled, food-grade conditions.

What food processing equipment is available in Bodec’s pilot plant and production facility?

Bodec has a wide range of food processing equipment for pilot testing, scale-up and production of food ingredients. Our equipment includes technologies for mixing, heating, hydrolysis, separation, centrifugation, filtration, evaporation, concentration, drying and stabilization. We also have several drum dryers and spray dryers available. We do not have every possible food processing machine in-house. When specific equipment is needed, we can often work with our network of machine building partners to rent, test or integrate additional technologies for a project.

Can Bodec support the full food processing chain from raw material to final ingredient?

Yes. Bodec can support the full processing chain from raw material or intermediate product to final food ingredient.

Do you offer custom or flexible food processing equipment setups for different processes?

Yes. Bodec works with flexible equipment setups that can be adapted to different products and processes. Bodec can combine technologies such as mixing, hydrolysis, separation, filtration, concentration and drying into one practical processing route. If a project requires equipment that is not available in-house, we can often involve our machine building partners to rent or test additional equipment. This flexibility helps customers develop and scale their process without immediately investing in their own production line.

What utilities are required for food processing equipment and how are they integrated?

Food processing equipment often requires utilities such as steam, hot water, cooling, compressed air, electricity and process water. At Bodec, these utilities are integrated into our pilot plant and production facility, allowing us to run different types of food processing equipment in a practical production environment.

Can I use Bodec’s equipment for pilot testing and scaling up production?

Yes. Customers can use Bodec’s equipment for pilot testing, process validation and scale-up. This makes it possible to test a process at smaller volumes first, evaluate product quality and improve process settings before moving towards industrial production. When the process is suitable for our equipment, production can also be started at Bodec.

Do I need to invest in my own food processing machines to work with Bodec?

No. In many cases, customers do not need to invest in their own food processing machines before working with Bodec. Bodec’s pilot plant and production facility give access to a wide range of processing equipment. This allows customers to test, validate and scale their process before deciding whether to invest in their own equipment or continue production with Bodec.
